Toledo

Writing this turned a bad day into a good one. Late one Sunday afternoon, still in my PJs, I left my apartment in search of a quick adventure. As I entered a bakery I had been meaning to check out, I felt compelled to sit and stay for a while. I asked the barista if I could borrow a pen, grabbed a napkin, and wrote this poem. If/when you’re in Montreal, I recommend Boulangerie Le Toledo. Clearly, I find their almond chocolatine not only delicious, but quite inspiring.

Luckiest moment of the month?

Sofie: I forgot my chapstick at home and desperately needed some, when minutes later, someone randomly offered me free chapstick!

Jackie: At Mon Ami (fancy restaurant!), I ordered one dessert and they gave me three!

Kaitlin: I thought I lost my student ID for months, but one day it just appeared back in my wallet. And I swear I looked through my wallet a thousand times.

Hannah: I don’t have any, unlucky month.
